Is Zinsser BIN Primer matt?
Zinsser BIN Primer is a basecoat that can be overcoated with any paint finish including matt.
What is best for painting over dark walls in bathrooms Zinsser bin or Zinsser bullseye 123?

We would recommend Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 for bathroom walls.

On MDF cupboards which have previously been painted, should Zinsser Bin or Bulls eye be used before changing colour?
If the kitchen cabinets have been previously painted, Zinsser BIN Primer is suitable.
Bathroom ceiling matt emulsion bubbling in the shower enclosure. Scraped it back and sanded. Would Zinsser be a good to prime it before a finish coat of vinyl matt emulsion?

We would recommend Zinsser Coverstain and an acrylic durable matt or eggshell for bathrooms or areas with high levels of moisture. Regular vinyl matt isn't recommended in bathrooms, kitchens or moisture prone areas for this reason.

I'm painting a previously painted wooden floor. After sanding would this Zinsser B-I-N be a good primer to use? Or should I just put the 2 coats of floorshield straight on top without the primer?
Zinsser BIN is not recommended for floors but to seal the floor, apply the first coat thinned by 10% before applying 2 full coats afterwards.
Is this primer made from shellac?

No, The Zinsser BIN Primer would not protect the unit from the Damp atmosphere.
I have mahogany wood skirtings that I want to change to white. Would this be the best product to seal after a clean and sand. Can I then go over with a WB undercoat and top coat or best to use an oil based
yes, The Zinsser BIN Primer can be applied to the wood skirting as a primer and then any top coat will be suitable.
Hi I have a metal garage door which has previously been painted and which is now flaking off badly, down to the galvanised base. What is the best way to approach this please ?
The best way to handle this is to remove all the flaking paint and then use the spot primer to help a top coat to adhere.
